What is urgent care?

An Urgent Care is a step down from an emergency where we manage minor medical emergencies. Many medical issues that your primary care doctor may refer you to the ER can be managed at an urgent care. We have on-site Xray and EKG, we also do rapid labs testing with results while you wait. Our management of your medical issue is focused on the problem that is facing you today. For any life threatening illness we encourage to call 911 and proceed to the nearest Emergency Room.

What information do I need to be seen by a practitioner?

You'll need a valid photo ID and insurance card (if you're paying with insurance). At the time of your visit you will complete an easy registration form on a tablet and then be seen by the practitioner.

When should I visit an emergency room instead of NYUCC?

You should visit the emergency room for life and limb threatening conditions such as significant chest pain, shortness of breath, passing out and severely broken bones. Please call 911 if you are experiencing such an emergency. For more information to help you better understand when to go to an ER or Urgent Care Center, please call us.

Can we make an appointment?

We don’t take appointments. Just walk in when you need us

Do I need a referral or authorization from my primary doctor to visit NYUCC?

No. We have an agreement with your insurance companies as an urgent care and do not require a referral or an authorization from you primary care doctor.

Do I need an appointment to be seen at NYUCC?

No, you do not need an appointment to visit NYUCC; walk-ins are welcome. However, if you'd prefer, you can also schedule an appointment in advance. This flexible approach helps us cater to both scheduled and immediate care needs

What types of insurance do you accept?

NYUCC accepts a wide range of insurance providers, including Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Aetna, Medicare, and more. You can call us or visit our website to confirm if your insurance is accepted for coverage

What services are available on-site?

NYUCC offers a variety of services directly on-site, including lab tests, X-rays, vaccinations, and physical exams for school, sports, and DOT requirements. We also handle minor injuries, illnesses, and screenings like TB and STD testing.

Jokester began sneaking into the castle in the middle of the night and leaving jokes all over the place: under the pillow, in his soup, even in the royal toilet. The king was furious, but he seem to stop Jokester. And then, one day, the people of the kingdom discovered that the jokes left by Jokester were so funny that they help but laugh. And once they started laughing, they stop.
